Ever made a decision you wished you could take back? Perhaps you missed a career opportunity? Ruined a valuable friendship? Had serious food envy? The list goes on. But what if you had the tools to correct this mistake?
In a bizarre political decision, the Australian government has given taxpayers a special token that will rectify one past mistake in the user’s life. Should mere mortals be given this sort of power? Probably not. But now everyone in the country must decide how best to wield it.
As we follow 8 women of differing ages, we learn of their life’s trials and tribulations as they admit their own deepest regret. An elderly executive ponders her marriage on her deathbed; a high school graduate anticipates the future; a same-sex couple strives to repair their relationship. Is there such thing as a quick fix to the complexities of life?
Chasing Yesterday is the result of a filmmaker, a fashion stylist and a psychologist collaborating together on a new production for the stage. Writer/director Becki Bouchier’s first foray into theatre stars Eugenia Rahi and Sally Brown. This culturally diverse, all-woman team tackles key issues that abound in today’s society. From the intricacies of being a mother and a wife, to the personal choice of putting work above family, Chasing Yesterday challenges the preconceived roles of women throughout our community.
